MEMBERSHIP
Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® seeks women who will promote, uphold, and extend its policies and programs. In return, the Sorority is a conduit through which individuals can grow and develop, personally and professionally, while simultaneously providing “Service to All Mankind.”

The Theta Mu Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® is comprised of women representing various backgrounds. Theta Mu Omega is uniquely diverse with members of multiple age groups and who have an array of professions, community leadership positions, and personal achievements. Theta Mu Omega upholds the sorority’s commitment to high scholastic standards with members who have completed studies on the bachelor, graduate, and doctoral levels.

The Theta Mu Omega Chapter is consistently dedicated to “nurturing our ivy” by offering ongoing member training courses, mentoring, and leadership development to ensure success of the chapter. TMO has received regional recognition for excellent mentorship. The Theta Mu Omega Chapter seeks to reclaim the sorority pearls and offer a membership experience that is Marvelous, Lively, and Outstanding.
Graduate membership is by invitation only and is not solicited through our graduate chapters. Graduate chapters host public events, such as forums, cultural presentations and social activities, so that prospective candidates can become acquainted with chapter members and learn about service activities they offer to local communities. The Theta Mu Omega Chapter welcomes visiting members to our monthly chapter meeting and community events. Chapter meetings are exclusively open to members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated ®, however, community service events are open to the public.

Requirements to attend a Chapter Meeting​
In accordance with the National Standard Operating Guidelines and Theta Mu Omega Chapter Protocol, visiting members are asked to present two forms of identification for meeting entry. Primary identification may include a government/State issued ID.
​
Secondary identification should include one of following:
A current or past sorority financial card
A copy of your original membership certificate signed by the AKA International Office
A receipt from a Cluster, Regional Conference, or International Conference (Boule) or an Ivy Leaf magazine that contains your name
