The Pink Tea Rose Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization that is committed to providing educational scholarships and charitable services to under serviced communities in Inglewood and Los Angeles County. The corporation will serve to promote positive growth and development in the areas of health, social responsibility and economic development.
In conjunction with The Pink Tea Rose Foundation, Inc., Theta Mu Omega (TMO) chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., annually awards scholarships to graduating seniors in Los Angeles County.
In 2016, TMO awarded six (6) Los Angeles area graduating seniors college scholarships. These scholarships include Book Awards, Chapter Scholarships, and a Golden Member Scholarship. In a ceremony attended by the recipients, their family, and chapter members of Theta Mu Omega, the honorees shared the college they will attend in Fall ‘16 and their career plans for the future. Theta Mu Omega congratulates their scholarship awardees and all graduates of 2016!
In 2017, the first disbursement of The LaSondra Webb Scholarship in STEM was awarded to Bianka Quintanilla-Whye a senior of Stanford University in Stanford, CA. The recipient was honored at the Driving to Excellence Fundraiser & Award Reception where Mayor James T. Butts Jr. of Inglewood, and other city and civic leaders of Los Angeles and Inglewood were in attendance.
